About

For anyone wanting to get from the centre of Râșnov up to the citadel, the fastest way is the inclined plane elevator. The idea was born in Râșnov back in 2005, and the project was completed and handed over in April 2015. The first public rides took place on 3 July 2015, at the opening of the Râșnov Days festival.

Where is the boarding station?

The boarding station is behind the Râșnov House of Culture, in Piața Unirii no. 9A. At the upper station, next to the Citadel, a panoramic platform lets you enjoy the views over the town.
